PowerFX and Iteam Solutions makes over 40 000 sound effects available through a new SMS-portal.

Stockholm-based PowerFX is one of the worlds leading producers and resellers of digital sound effects and samples. PowerFX also has a unique deal with the Swedish Public Service Television (SVT) making all sounds from the SVT archive from the 1960s to present available through the PowerFX database. Friday June 9:th PowerFX, in cooperation with IT-company Iteam Solutions, launched a SMS-service providing download of all of Power FX´s sound effects to mobile phones.

“We provide a totally different range of ringtones in comparison to the usual SMS-services. Our archive is a goldmine for those not interested in the latest hit songs or spoofy cartoons; how about using soccer applauses, a camel or memorable C64 sounds as a ringtone?” says Bil Bryant, owner and CEO at PowerFX.

The new functionality is seamlessly integrated in PowerFX website and aims to provide additional value to existing customers and act as marketing channel towards new. Payment is done with Premium SMS or through PowerFX existing e-commerce platform.

The service is currently only available for the Swedish market, with plans on global coverage within the near future.
